Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedule includes weekends (typically 4 shifts per schedule); rotating coverage across Day/Mid/Night as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care — triage, assess, stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients
- Deliver advanced life support interventions and coordinate timely transfer of care when needed
- Perform clinical procedures common to emergency care including intubations, LPs, wound repair, suture removal and splinting
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care thoroughly in Meditech
- Collaborate with physicians, medics and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain situational awareness in a fast-paced unit and prioritize a 4:1 patient ratio effectively
- Champion patient- and family-centered care while anticipating department needs and supporting teammates
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure (eligible to practice in Texas or compact licensure where applicable)
- TNCC and ENPC required by start date (candidates without these will not be considered)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Emergency nursing experience — minimum 1 year required; candidates with 2+ years preferred
- Comfort and experience performing common ED procedures (intubation, LP, laceration repair, splinting, TNK administration)
- Ability to work independently on a busy emergency department team and communicate clearly under pressure
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR for documentation and order entry
- Strong triage and rapid assessment skills in the emergency setting
- Excellent procedural skills for ED interventions (suturing, splinting, airway management)
- Teamwork, adaptability and the ability to anticipate patient and department needs
- Effective communication with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort managing high-acuity patients and prioritizing care in a fast-paced environment
