Shift Type: Night shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM; part-time/night schedule with rotating nights and coverage that includes every other weekend (Night)
Hours per Week: 24
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and act promptly on changes
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives and the care team to support safe deliveries and postpartum recovery
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, newborn care and postpartum health
- Document assessments, interventions and patient education clearly and timely in the EMR
- Respond to emergent situations with professional composure and appropriate clinical interventions
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York (compact/state requirements must be met)
- Prior maternity/OB nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS required; NRP and/or ACLS preferred or obtainable
- Comfortable with fetal monitoring, labor support and postpartum care
- Ability to work nights and provide weekend coverage as scheduled
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in maternal and newborn assessment and triage
- Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Knowledgeable in fetal monitoring interpretation and documentation
- Able to prioritize care in a fast-paced labor and delivery environment
- Patient education and family-centered care expertise
