Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to inpatient rehab patients, focusing on recovery and functional improvement
- Administer IV therapies and manage infusion pumps safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT/OT/SLP to create and carry out individualized care plans
- Use Meditech EMR to document assessments, treatments, and progress notes in a timely manner
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment such as mechanical lifts, Baxter pumps, and Kangaroo pumps
- Educate patients and families on recovery goals, discharge planning, and self-care strategies
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to unit policies while supporting a positive patient experience
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (eligible to practice in New Hampshire; compact license accepted where applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience, with rehab or med-surg background preferred
- IV experience required; confident with infusion management
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with Meditech or similar EMR is a plus
- Comfort floating to CCU, Med Surg, and ER as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of rehab and med-surg nursing principles
- Skilled in wound care, stroke, and TBI patient needs
- Proficient in IV therapy and infusion pump management
- Familiarity with safe patient handling including mechanical lifts and Sara steady devices
- Comfortable working in a 6:1 patient ratio environment
- Good clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
