Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal status using fetal heart monitoring and intervene as needed
• Provide skilled perinatal nursing care during labor and delivery and immediate postpartum
• Perform neonatal stabilization and resuscitation when necessary using NRP and STABLE principles
• Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure seamless team communication
• Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
• Educate and support patients and families through labor, delivery and early newborn care
• Respond calmly and effectively to perinatal emergencies, prioritizing safety for mother and baby
• Adapt practice to the high-altitude environment and help maintain safe patient care in Aspen

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; active RN license or ability to obtain Colorado RN license prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a perinatal RN required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required (may be obtained upon hire)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Intermediate certification required
• STABLE certification (STABLE Learner) required
• Experience with EPIC preferred
• BSN or MSN preferred
• Bilingual Spanish preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in fetal heart monitoring interpretation and intervention
• Neonatal resuscitation and immediate newborn stabilization (NRP, STABLE)
• Perinatal clinical assessment and triage in labor and delivery
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records, preferably EPIC
• Clear, compassionate patient and family education skills
• Team communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to work safely and effectively in high-elevation environments
