Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients at Sandia Ridge Center
• Administer medications, document clinical observations, and follow established care plans
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and physicians to support positive patient outcomes
• Perform wound care, vital signs monitoring, and routine assessments with attention to detail
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and care transitions

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license (practical nurse) — state licensure required; New Mexico licensure preferred or ability to obtain
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass facility-specific onboarding and background checks

Education

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and documentation
• Skilled in resident assessment and reporting changes in condition
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safety protocols
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and charting systems
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
