Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate Siemens CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images for adult outpatients
• Prepare and administer contrast media and perform peripheral IV starts safely and professionally
• Perform a variety of CT exams including extremities, abdomen, chest, head/neck, spine, and vascular CTA
• Use advanced post-processing tools (3D rendering, MPR, ROI) to support radiologist interpretation
• Follow radiation safety and infection isolation precautions for patient and staff protection
• Document procedures, patient history and contrast administration accurately in the chart
• Float to different units within the OSU organization as needed and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Support patient-centered care with clear communication and compassionate attention

Qualifications

• Siemens CT experience required
• Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience
• BLS certification required
• AART CT required (ARRT CT preferred)
• State radiologic technologist license required
• Experience with adult outpatient imaging and vascular CTA
• Comfortable starting peripheral IVs and performing venipuncture
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Siemens CT scanners and related workflows
• Contrast media preparation and administration
• IV start and venipuncture skills
• Radiation safety best practices
• Vascular CTA protocols and technique
• 3D rendering, maximum intensity projection and volume rendering
• Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest (ROI) measurement
• Image display and post-processing software proficiency
• Ability to access ports and manage special procedure prep
• Strong patient communication and documentation skills
