Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to residents as an LPN or RN based on scope of practice
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in condition promptly and accurately
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to create and update individualized care plans
• Support smooth transitions of care — admissions, discharges, and handoffs — with clear communication
• Advocate for residents’ needs and family communication to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues and modeling professional behavior

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPN or RN license (you’ll be placed in the appropriate role based on your license)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain per facility requirements
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN program as appropriate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and documentation with attention to detail
• Medication administration and understanding of common long-term care treatments
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced overnight environment
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and family communication
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
