Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care using the nursing process to promote positive outcomes
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, efficient care
• Delegate and supervise assigned nursing tasks while ensuring quality and compliance
• Demonstrate clinical competence in specialty-area tasks and escalate concerns appropriately
• Contribute to unit quality improvement efforts and uphold facility standards
• Build professional relationships with patients and families to support excellent care experiences

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN license valid in Kentucky (license verification required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to pass facility health requirements (COVID-19 vaccination, TB testing, immunizations, drug screen, fit test)
• Comfort supervising delegated tasks and supporting care team workflows
• Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program or equivalent vocational nursing education

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and bedside nursing fundamentals
• Application of the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Delegation and supervision of nursing assistants and support staff
• Clinical competence in routine and specialty nursing tasks
• Quality improvement principles and safe practice standards
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced clinical settings
