Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care on the telemetry unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Monitor cardiac status and telemetry, recognize changes in condition and respond quickly and accurately
• Communicate clinical changes, diagnostic results and care plans clearly to physicians and the multidisciplinary team
• Deliver patient- and family-centered education to support recovery and self-care after discharge
• Perform safe medication administration and documentation in accordance with facility policies
• Coordinate and guide activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care
• Participate in required competency assessments, specialty exams and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS required; ACLS required
• DCI/BVP certification listed as required in the posting
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred (compliance with facility immunization policy)
• Ability to pass required health screenings and background checks (drug screen, TB/PPD, fit test, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, etc.)
• Comfort working nights in a telemetry/medical-surgical setting and responding to rapid changes in patient condition
