Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients thoroughly and develop individualized care plans
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry, responding quickly to changes
• Coordinate with physicians and the care team on patient status and diagnostics
• Provide clear patient and family education to support recovery and discharge goals
• Guide and mentor other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care
• Document clinical findings, interventions and patient responses accurately

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Telemetry experience and cardiac monitoring skills
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Familiarity with competency and specialty exam requirements (Prime Core Competencies/Skills)

• Direct med-surg patient care in an acute setting
• Ability to recognize and respond to clinical changes quickly
• Patient/family education and clear clinical communication
• Comfort working in a fast-paced unit and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
