Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, resident-centered nursing care on the Fenimore Unit, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to facility policies
• Assess residents’ conditions, document changes, and communicate concerns to the care team
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote independence and safety
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create and follow individualized care plans
• Support family communication with clear, caring updates about resident status
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic and paper records

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New York (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Prior experience in long-term care or nursing home settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Completion of state-required clinical training for LPN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent medication administration and documentation skills
• Familiarity with long-term care regulations and resident rights
• Skilled in resident assessment, wound care basics, and ADL support
• Clear verbal and written communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and basic computer skills
