Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living with respect and dignity
• Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly report concerns
• Support safe mobility and assist with transfers and ambulation
• Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff and document observations
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through compassionate interactions

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New York (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a resident-first attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification in New York

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with common long-term care routines and resident needs
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and use basic assistive devices
• Comfortable with electronic or paper charting and documentation
• Strong observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Customer-service mindset and ability to work well under supervision
