Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care consistent with care plans and Nursing Administration guidance
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support
• Take and record vital signs, observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Support safe patient transfers and fall-prevention measures to protect residents
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and therapy teams
• Contribute to a positive resident experience through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New York State
• Experience or interest in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and maintain required immunizations
• Flexible per diem availability and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with resident care and activities of daily living
• Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
• Familiarity with infection control and safety practices
• Clear communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Reliable documentation and good time-management skills
