Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and daily living assistance to residents
- Assist with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility support
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Document care thoroughly and courteously in resident records
- Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to promote resident comfort and dignity
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing (or willingness to complete)
- License/certificate verification completed and up to date
- Ability to pass required health screenings: Fit Test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon), color vision
- Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
- Physical/health statement demonstrating ability to perform essential duties
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Infection control practices and safe PPE use
- Clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and team members
- Basic clinical observation and reporting (vital signs, behavior changes)
- Comfort with competency testing and following facility protocols
- Teamwork, reliability, and time management in a fast-paced care setting
