Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility
- Support nursing administration tasks and coordinate care across the interdisciplinary team
- Perform clinical assessments, develop care plans, and monitor resident progress
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families to optimize resident outcomes
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control, and immunization requirements
- Complete required competency testing and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience in skilled nursing facility (SNF) care or nursing administration preferred
- Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and other facility competency evaluations
- Ability to pass required screenings: Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen, fit test, color vision, and health/physical statement
- Up-to-date immunizations or documentation: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of SNF care practices and nursing administration processes
- Infection prevention and immunization compliance awareness
- Proficient documentation and electronic health record navigation
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to follow competency testing protocols and maintain credentialing requirements
