Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility
- Implement and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Lead nursing administration tasks and contribute to smooth facility operations
- Monitor resident conditions, administer medications safely, and document care accurately
- Coach and mentor nursing assistants and support staff to maintain high standards
- Ensure regulatory compliance, maintain clinical records, and participate in quality improvement
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) — active license (RN) required
- Experience or demonstrated competence in nursing administration and skilled nursing facility (SNF) care
- Comfort working in a per diem / travel assignment model and adapting to changing schedules
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Valid professional credentials and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Resident assessment and individualized care planning
- Medication administration and clinical documentation
- Leadership skills for nursing administration and staff coordination
- Knowledge of SNF care processes, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Effective communication with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy clinical setting
