Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging and ensure accurate image acquisition
• Assist radiologists in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
• Process and transmit images to PACS promptly and accurately
• Operate and maintain radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, including portable units
• Provide compassionate patient care and follow BLS protocols
• Maintain clear, timely communication with the multidisciplinary care team
• Complete required competency exams and specialty checklists to maintain clinical standards
• Follow infection control, safety, and department policies including fit testing and drug screening requirements

Qualifications

• Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (A.R.R.T. or N.M.T.C.B.)
• Current BCLS (AHA) required
• Minimum one year of acute clinical radiology experience
• At least one year of experience working as a nuclear medicine technologist
• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCNMT or CAMRT
• Proficient computer skills and experience with PACS workflows
• Completion of required pre-employment health screenings and drug testing

Education

• Graduate of a JRCNMT- or CAMRT-accredited Nuclear Medicine program

Knowledge & Skills

• Imaging acquisition and image processing best practices
• Transmission of images to PACS and digital imaging workflows
• Familiarity with GE Infinia 830, Siemens Symbia, Transcam and ADAC portable systems
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
• Strong anatomy knowledge and medical terminology
• Patient care skills and compliance with BCLS standards
• Comfortable with credentialing processes and competency assessments (Prime Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, Specialty Exam)
• Attention to detail for documentation, licensing, and safety checks
