Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult patients, delivering life support and ventilator management when needed
- Perform thorough respiratory assessments and implement appropriate interventions to improve patient outcomes
- Administer and monitor advanced life support procedures in accordance with BLS/ACLS/DCI/BVP/PALS standards
- Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of treatments, interventions, and patient responses
- Participate in required competency testing (Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, Prime Specialty Exam) and keep certifications current
- Adhere to infection control protocols and support a safe clinical environment
Qualifications
- Respiratory Care Practitioner experience with adult patient populations
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- DCI/BVP certification
- PALS certification
- Successful completion/verification of license/certificates (License/Certificate Verification required)
- Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist and Prime Specialty Exam as required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong foundation in respiratory therapy principles and adult respiratory care
- Comfort with life support protocols and emergency respiratory interventions
- Familiarity with competency testing and documentation processes (Prime exams and checklists)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and communicate clearly
- Attention to detail for accurate clinical documentation and adherence to policies
