Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality direct patient care using the nursing process
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in rhythm
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care plans
• Communicate clinical changes and diagnostic results clearly with physicians and the care team
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses in EPIC EMR accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment and discharge plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve outcomes
• Act quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition, including emergency responses

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license (California preferred or ability to obtain)
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Ability to pass required screenings and immunizations (drug screen, TB test, MMR, Hep B, influenza, fit test and related health requirements)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring best practices
• Patient assessment and nursing process expertise
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking in acute care settings
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Patient and family education techniques
• Direct patient care skills including medication administration and documentation
• Basic ventilator management concepts (preferred)
