Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients during the night shift
• Administer prescribed medications and document treatments accurately
• Monitor and record vital signs, report changes to the clinical team promptly
• Assist with admissions, discharges and smooth patient transitions
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the facility’s documentation system
• Support a safe environment through infection control and bedside safety practices

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license appropriate for practice in West Virginia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or ability to obtain promptly
• Recent clinical experience in a similar inpatient setting preferred
• Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass facility background checks
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing (LPN) program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and dose verification best practices
• Patient assessment and accurate vital sign monitoring
• Charting and documentation accuracy using electronic medical records
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Ability to prioritize tasks during the night shift and respond calmly in emergencies
• Collaborative communication with interdisciplinary teams
