Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to prevent falls and injuries
- Document resident care and communicate clearly with the care team to support care plans
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Engage residents with dignity and respect, promoting comfort and independence
- Collaborate with nurses and other staff to deliver high-quality person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification required (T-CNA or standard CNA accepted)
- Comfortable working a travel/contract assignment (13-week assignment: 2026-01-05 through 2026-03-30)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass required background checks, drug screen, and health screenings
- Reliable transportation and willingness to relocate temporarily for the assignment
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork-minded attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Proficient at taking and documenting vital signs
- Knowledge of infection prevention and resident safety practices
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Strong interpersonal skills—compassionate, patient-focused care
- Comfortable using electronic or paper charting systems
