Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support safe and effective transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
- Document resident care and observations clearly in the chart to ensure continuity of care
- Assist with meal service and feeding when needed, promoting nutrition and dignity
- Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection control procedures
- Build positive relationships with residents and families, offering kindness and respect in every interaction
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (valid in the state of assignment)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Comfortable working the assigned day shift schedule including weekends
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous hands-on resident care experience preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in basic patient care and personal care techniques
- Skilled in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Good charting and documentation practices
- Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to nursing staff
