Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC; specific days vary by assignment (primarily overnight coverage)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Perform routine vital signs, document observations, and maintain accurate care records
- Support mealtime assistance and basic feeding needs while encouraging independence
- Follow infection control practices and facility policies to maintain a safe environment
- Engage residents with respectful communication and meaningful interaction to promote wellbeing
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB test per facility policy
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
- Comfort working overnight shifts and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong patient-focused attitude, good communication skills, and reliable attendance
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of geriatrics and compassionate resident-centered care
- Safe resident transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention techniques
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation in electronic or paper charting
- Infection control, hand hygiene, and standard precautions
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to licensed nursing staff
- Calm, patient approach when working with residents with dementia or cognitive challenges
