Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (schedule varies; nights primarily) NOC

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to the care team
- Support mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation to promote resident independence
- Assist with meal service and feeding as needed, honoring dietary plans and preferences
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation of resident care and observations
- Communicate respectfully and proactively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a safe, clean care environment
- Participate in care planning and contribute observations that improve resident outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in the state of Maryland (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Clear background check and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements
- Compassionate bedside manner, reliability, and strong team collaboration
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved GNA training program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of ADLs and geriatric-specific care needs
- Skillful in taking and documenting vital signs and routine observations
- Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, and clinical teams
- Basic charting and documentation competency
- Understanding of infection control best practices and resident safety
