Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility to promote patient comfort and dignity
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as vital signs, documentation, and basic wound care as directed
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control policies
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to support individualized care plans
- Support a positive patient experience through empathy, communication, and professionalism
Qualifications
- T-CNA certification (Travel CNA) required
- Active CNA certification or state-approved nursing assistant credential
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Ability to work the assigned night shift schedule and adapt to a travel assignment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care practices and ADLs
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
- Good documentation and time-management skills
- Compassionate bedside manner and respectful communication
- Comfort working in long-term care or skilled nursing environments
