Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and toileting with dignity and respect
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility to reduce fall risk and promote independence
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with nurses and families
• Participate in care planning and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) or equivalent; state eligibility welcomed
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or required as per facility policy
• Comfortable working in long-term care or similar clinical settings; previous CNA experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Competence in ADLs, patient hygiene and safe transfer techniques
• Familiarity with taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of basic infection control practices and PPE use
• Good charting habits and the ability to communicate changes to the care team
• Team player attitude with strong time management and observational skills
