Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care across ER, Med Surg and ICU with confidence
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition accurately
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse managers and the interdisciplinary team
• Respond quickly and professionally to changes in patients' clinical status
• Assume responsibility for unit patient populations and coordinate safe care
• Delegate appropriately and supervise team members to ensure high quality care
• Function calmly and effectively during crises and high-acuity situations
• Float between departments as needed to meet patient care demands
• Adhere to service excellence standards and hospital policies at all times
• Document care in the Meditech EMR and keep licenses and certifications current

Qualifications

• Ohio Registered Nurse license required
• Minimum 1 year experience across Emergency Department, ICU and Med Surg required
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required and must be current
• If COVID vaccinated, provide vaccination card as part of submission requirements
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and required weekends and holidays
• Strong patient assessment, delegation, communication and crisis management skills
• Comfortable floating between departments and adapting schedule to meet unit needs

• Patient care and comprehensive patient assessment
• General nursing duties across med surg, ER and ICU settings

• Delegation and team leadership on shift
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
