Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry continuously, identifying changes in rhythm quickly and accurately
• Deliver high-quality patient care using EPIC for timely, thorough documentation
• Respond to clinical changes and emergencies with confidence and appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families about cardiac rhythms, treatments, and safety plans
• Maintain competency through required Prime assessments and skills checklists
• Follow infection control and facility policies, including required immunizations and testing

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• DCI/BVP certification as required by facility
• Proven experience using EPIC or similar electronic health records
• Ability to pass facility-required health screenings and drug testing (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB test/chest x-ray, Hep B, Tdap, Varicella, influenza, 10-panel drug screen, fit test, etc.)
• Completion of Prime rhythm interpretation and competency testing as part of onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
• Proficiency with EPIC documentation workflows
• Skilled in acute patient assessment and clinical prioritization
• Clear communication and teamwork in fast-paced clinical settings
• Ability to perform under pressure during rapid response or code situations
• Familiarity with Prime competency tools and specialty exams
