Shift Type: Per Diem (days vary based on scheduling), 12-hour Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; 12-hour Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; Day and Night (rotating/per diem options)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate Med-Surg nursing care to adult patients using best practices
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Respond to changes in patient condition promptly, escalating concerns as needed
- Teach patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
- Maintain competency by completing required Prime exams, skills checklists, and specialty testing
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in good standing; Nursys verification required)
- Minimum 1 year Med-Surg nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- DCI/BVP certification as listed in requirements
- Experience documenting in EPIC or similar EHR
- Completed required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19, TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, influenza) and drug screening
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Active RN license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong Med-Surg clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient use of EPIC for charting, medication administration, and orders
- Skilled at IV medication administration, wound care, and post-op monitoring
- Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced hospital settings
- Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks while maintaining documentation accuracy
- Familiarity with Prime competency and specialty exam processes
