Location: Joliet, IL
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating days and nights; specific start and end times vary by assignment (day and night shifts available). Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for adults in acute settings
- Perform ongoing assessments and monitor hemodynamics, ventilators, and other advanced support
- Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately according to protocol
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
- Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in resuscitation and rapid response efforts
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly in the medical record
- Support unit flow by floating to like-kind units when needed and mentoring colleagues
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing (per state requirements)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications as listed
- Nursys registration or verification as required
- Successful completion of required Prime exams and skills checklist prior to start
- Compliance with employee health requirements such as TB screening, immunizations, and drug screen
- Comfort with floating to related specialties within your scope and skillset
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Experience with ventilator management and advanced monitoring
- Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy in acute settings
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation practices
