Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the acuity spectrum
• Perform rapid, accurate triage and ongoing assessment to prioritize care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with scope of practice and protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-centered plans
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and complete required competency checklists and exams
• Float to like-kind units as needed to support the team and ensure continuity of care
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage to support 24/7 patient needs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (Nursys) in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications as required for the role
• Ability to complete required Prime testing: pharmacology, specialty, core competencies, and skills checklist
• Clear drug screen and up-to-date immunizations and health screening compliance
• Comfortable working both day and night shifts and floating to like-kind units

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
• Experience with acute care interventions and rapid decision making
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Ability to learn and follow unit protocols and electronic health record documentation
• Adaptability to float between similar units and manage variable shift patterns
