Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor patient cardiac telemetry and promptly identify rhythm changes to support timely clinical action
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document patient responses accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans
• Provide compassionate patient education and emotional support to patients and families
• Perform thorough assessments and escalate changes in condition according to policy
• Complete required competency exams and skills checklists to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license with Nursys verification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications listed as required or preferred
• Completion of facility-required testing and competencies (Prime exams and skills checklist)
• Current health screenings and immunizations as listed (COVID-19, TB, MMR, Hep B, Tdap, Varicella, influenza, fit test)
• Telemetry experience preferred; strong clinical judgment and comfort with cardiac monitoring

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Strong intravenous medication administration and infusion pump experience
• Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
• Clear communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clinical staff
• Attention to detail for completing competency exams and required compliance tasks
