Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality direct ICU patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor hemodynamic status and communicate clinical changes to the medical team
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response
- Provide patient and family education while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with nursing staff and guide activities of other nursing personnel to uphold ICU standards
- Interpret diagnostic results and abnormal findings to support timely clinical decisions
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (Nursys verification listed)
- Trauma and neuro ICU experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- DCI/BVP certification listed as required
- Demonstrated ability in hemodynamic monitoring and critical care nursing
- Comfort with Prime basic and specialty competency testing processes
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Rhythm interpretation (ECG) and Prime rhythm screening familiarity
- Critical care pharmacology knowledge
- Interpretation of diagnostic studies and abnormal results
- Patient and family teaching in high-acuity settings
