Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform cardiovascular technology procedures with accuracy and attention to patient safety
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and communicate findings clearly to the care team
- Operate and troubleshoot monitoring and diagnostic equipment according to protocol
- Complete Prime Skills Checklist and competency exams to demonstrate clinical proficiency
- Verify and maintain patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of procedures and results
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied staff to deliver coordinated cardiac care
- Adhere to infection control and hospital safety policies, including fit testing and required immunizations
Qualifications
- Valid AART license required
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- DCI/BVP certification required
- Demonstrated competency in rhythm interpretation (Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening)
- Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Specialty Exam, and Prime Skills Checklist
- Ability to pass required health screens and immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, TB, Tdap, Varicella, influenza) and drug screening
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiovascular technology fundamentals and hands-on procedural skills
- Rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring
- Familiarity with Prime competency processes and skills validation
- Strong patient communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and license/certification verification
