Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU patients and their families
• Perform and interpret EKGs and continuously monitor patient cardiac status
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered plans
• Respond to emergencies and apply ACLS/BLS protocols when indicated
• Float to like units when needed while maintaining excellent standards of care
• Participate in required competency testing and skills validation to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure with Nursys verification preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated ICU / critical care experience and strong patient monitoring skills
• Proficiency performing EKGs and working in EPIC electronic health record
• Completion of required client health screenings and vaccinations per policy
• Comfort floating to like units and working every other weekend/holiday rotation
• Successful completion of Prime competency exams and skills checklist

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and advanced patient monitoring
• EKG performance and basic rhythm interpretation
• Electronic Health Record documentation with EPIC
• Basic pharmacology and medication administration in critical care
• Compassionate, patient-centered care and strong communication
• Ability to adapt and float between similar units as needed
