Location: Chicago, IL
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating shifts including every other weekend and every other holiday weekend; specific start/end times vary by unit (day and night shifts, may include floating to like units)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU patients and their families
- Perform and interpret EKGs and continuously monitor patient cardiac status
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered plans
- Respond to emergencies and apply ACLS/BLS protocols when indicated
- Float to like units when needed while maintaining excellent standards of care
- Participate in required competency testing and skills validation to maintain clinical excellence
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure with Nursys verification preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated ICU / critical care experience and strong patient monitoring skills
- Proficiency performing EKGs and working in EPIC electronic health record
- Completion of required client health screenings and vaccinations per policy
- Comfort floating to like units and working every other weekend/holiday rotation
- Successful completion of Prime competency exams and skills checklist
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing and advanced patient monitoring
- EKG performance and basic rhythm interpretation
- Electronic Health Record documentation with EPIC
- Basic pharmacology and medication administration in critical care
- Compassionate, patient-centered care and strong communication
- Ability to adapt and float between similar units as needed
