Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ED setting
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration and IV therapy
• Perform pediatric and adult emergency interventions following protocol
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the EHR
• Maintain and demonstrate competency on Prime Core Competencies and Skills Checklist
• Adhere to all required health screenings, immunizations, and fit testing
• Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in unit-based safety practices

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — California
• Current BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP required per unit
• DCI/BVP and license verification as part of compliance
• Per diem availability and willingness to commit to the full 26-week per diem assignment
• Must be available to work on 2025-08-12 to qualify for this assignment
• Ability to complete minimum compliance by 2025-08-10 and full credentialing within two weeks of offer acceptance

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills for adult and pediatric patients
• Comfortable with high-acuity situations and rapid decision-making
• Familiarity with infection control, immunization requirements, and fit testing
• Proficient documentation and electronic health record use
• Excellent communication and teamwork in interdisciplinary care
• Ability to pass Prime Core Competencies and Prime Skills Checklist
