Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide focused, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status using EPIC and other unit tools
• Administer medications, manage IV lines, and titrate therapies according to provider orders and protocols
• Operate and monitor ventilators and advanced hemodynamic support as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Float to the DOU when assigned and adapt to unit-specific workflows
• Complete required competencies and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Maintain up-to-date compliance documentation and certifications to avoid interruption of assignment

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license (state licensure as required for assignment)
• BLS and ACLS required; DCI/BVP required
• PALS and NRP preferred where applicable for unit needs
• Strong ICU nursing experience with proficiency in critical care techniques
• Demonstrated experience with EPIC documentation and electronic charting
• Ability to float to the DOU and adapt to different unit workflows
• Per diem/agency experience preferred; must be available to work 08/12/2025 to qualify
• Able to complete minimum compliance requirements by 08/10/2025 and upload full credentialing within two weeks of offer acceptance

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of ICU patient assessment and critical care interventions
• Skilled in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficient with EPIC electronic health record workflows and documentation
• Strong medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Familiar with infection control, immunization requirements, and laboratory/result interpretation
• Comfortable with rapid triage, prioritization, and interdisciplinary communication
• Prepared to complete Prime Core Competencies Exam and Prime Skills Checklist
