Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Perform thorough patient assessments and timely documentation in EPIC
• Respond to rapid changes in patient status and manage critical interventions
• Float to the DOU when assigned and adapt quickly to different unit workflows
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, credentialing and health screening requirements

Qualifications

• Active, verifiable Registered Nurse license (must pass license verification)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; DCI/BVP required
• PALS and NRP preferred where applicable; DOU float experience is a plus
• Experience working 12-hour ICU day shifts and familiarity with per diem staffing
• Proven proficiency with EPIC electronic health record
• Must meet minimum compliance requirements by 08/10/2025 and upload full credentialing within two weeks of offer acceptance
• Ability to complete health screening and immunizations (COVID, Flu, TB, Fit test, MMR/Varicella or declination) and required drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ICU clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable using EPIC for documentation and orders
• Skilled in ACLS/BLS emergency algorithms and rapid response
• Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and integrate into established teams
• Familiarity with license/credential verification processes and compliance workflows
• Adaptability to float to DOU and manage shifting unit priorities
