Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to gastroenterology patients during 12-hour day shifts
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the GI care team to support procedures and patient plans
• Maintain and demonstrate competency by completing Prime Core Competencies and Prime Skills Checklist
• Adhere to infection control, immunization, and health screening requirements to keep patients and staff safe
• Complete required pre-shift compliance and credentialing steps in the VMS to remain active on the assignment

Qualifications

• Valid RN license (state licensing and verification required)
• Current BLS; ACLS, PALS, and NRP as required by the unit
• Per diem experience and the ability to commit to a 26-week per diem assignment
• Ability to complete minimum compliance by 08/10/2025 and be available to work 08/12/2025 to qualify
• Successful completion/upload of required health screening: physical, TB test, immunizations (COVID-19, Influenza, MMR, Varicella — declination accepted with form), Hepatitis B, Tdap
• Pass required screenings: Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, fit test, and a minimum 10-panel drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience or knowledge in Gastroenterology (GI) nursing and unit workflows
• Comfort working 12-hour day shifts and managing acuity on per diem assignments
• Familiarity with credentialing/compliance processes and timely document submission
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to complete required competency testing and skills validation
