Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Prepare the OR by ensuring sterile technique, instrumentation, and supplies are ready
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to coordinate patient care
• Monitor patients throughout the surgical experience and respond to changes in condition
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete required skills checklists and exams
• Adhere to infection control, immunization, and health screening requirements
• Support a positive work environment by communicating clearly and professionally

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with successful license verification
• Perioperative/Operating Room experience preferred (surgery-focused)
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP as determined by unit
• Able to meet health screening and immunization requirements (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TB test, Fit test, Influenza, Tdap) or complete approved declination forms where accepted
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam and Prime Skills Checklist
• Must be able to provide a physical/health statement that allows work without restrictions
• Ability to pass a minimum 10-panel drug screen
• Availability to work on August 12, 2025 to qualify for this assignment and commitment to the full 26-week per diem assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative nursing knowledge and operating room workflow
• Familiarity with sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Patient monitoring and rapid assessment skills
• Effective teamwork and clear communication in high-stakes environments
• Comfort with documentation and digital credentialing/VMS systems
• Ability to follow unit-specific requirements and complete onboarding compliance promptly
