Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients continuously using the nursing process to guide safe care
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to rhythm changes
• Provide hands-on direct patient care, including medication administration and treatments
• Use EPIC to document care, communicate findings, and coordinate with the care team
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff on changes in patient condition
• Supervise and guide other nursing personnel and support staff as needed
• Respond quickly and accurately to acute changes in patient status

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Telemetry experience with cardiac monitoring and patient assessment
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• Current immunizations and required health screenings (COVID-19, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Influenza, Tdap, TB testing)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical records
• Skilled in patient/family teaching and discharge planning
• Familiarity with nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
• Infection control practices and adherence to hospital protocols
• Clear clinical communication with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
