Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; includes every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday coverage, with floating across units as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Care for fresh open-heart post-op patients (CABG) with vigilance and clinical precision
- Manage high-acuity ICU patients across SICU/MICU/Neuro populations, delivering evidence-based critical care
- Provide CRRT support and monitoring for patients requiring continuous renal replacement therapy
- Perform neurological assessments and stroke care, utilizing NIHSS and stroke protocols
- Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to maintain clear patient records and handoffs
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations and make-up coverage per contract expectations
- Float between units as needed to support patient care and unit staffing demands
- Complete required competency exams and skills checklists to ensure safe practice
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure with Nursys verification required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications (listed as required)
- Demonstrated ICU nursing experience with Open Heart/CABG and Neurocritical care
- Experience with CRRT and managing high-acuity post-op cardiac patients
- EPIC charting experience is a must
- Ability to work nights, every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday as outlined
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care assessment and hemodynamic monitoring skills
- Proficiency in post-operative open-heart (CABG) care and chest tube management
- Hands-on experience with CRRT setup, troubleshooting, and patient monitoring
- Skilled in neurological exams, stroke recognition, and NIHSS scoring
- Solid EPIC documentation and electronic charting skills
- Ability to manage ventilators and advanced ICU support modalities
- Team communication, rapid response, and effective handoff practices
