Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality critical care to assigned ICU patients using the nursing process
• Perform continuous hemodynamic monitoring and promptly communicate clinical changes to physicians
• Assess patients, implement care plans, and evaluate responses to treatments
• Deliver patient and family education with clarity and compassion
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain standards of care in the ICU
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Participate in required competency testing and specialty skill assessments

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• ICU experience or comfort working in a high-acuity critical care environment
• Nursys registration for licensure verification
• DCI/BVP and other facility-required credentials as listed
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred per facility guidance

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and best practices
• Advanced patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of vital trends
• Familiarity with the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and physicians
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition
• Comfort with unit-specific competency exams and specialty skill checklists
