Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and manage telemetry patients using the nursing process
• Provide safe, direct patient care and clear, timely documentation in EPIC
• Interpret cardiac monitoring and promptly communicate changes to physicians
• Implement and evaluate individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and discharge needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond quickly and correctly to changes in patient condition and alarms
• Guide and support other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• EPIC EMR experience (required)
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters as required by facility
• Ability to pass drug screen, fit test, TB/MMR/Varicella/Tdap and other health requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
• Proficiency with EPIC for documentation and order management
• Direct patient care skills in acute care/telemetry settings
• Familiarity with ventilator basics and respiratory support (preferred)
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Infection control practices and safe medication administration
