Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Communicate critical findings and updates clearly with physicians and the multidisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and informed decision-making
• Document care accurately in the EMR and complete required competency assessments
• Supervise and guide other nursing personnel to maintain ICU standards of care
• Perform and interpret cardiac rhythms and participate in advanced life support as needed

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license (state of practice)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care or critical care staff RN experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications listed as required in order information
• Nursys registration for license verification
• CCRN preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Willingness to complete required health screenings, drug testing, and competency exams

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care and ICU nursing skills, including ventilator and hemodynamic management
• Proficient in patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Experience with EMR documentation (EPIC preferred)
• Skilled in patient/family education and interdisciplinary communication
• Ability to perform rhythm interpretation and basic pharmacology safely
• Comfort responding efficiently to rapid changes in patient status
