Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanner to produce high-quality diagnostic images with attention to detail
• Assess and prepare patients for CT exams, ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication
• Position patients and select appropriate imaging protocols to achieve diagnostic goals
• Follow radiation safety and infection control procedures to protect patients and staff
• Administer contrast per facility policy and monitor patients when required
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and the care team to support efficient patient flow
• Complete required competency and specialty exams (Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, Prime Specialty Exam) and maintain accurate documentation
• Participate in equipment checks and report maintenance or quality issues promptly

Qualifications

• Valid CT technologist certification/license per state requirements (License/Certificate Verification required)
• BLS certification (required)
• DCI/BVP certification (required)
• Demonstrated CT experience with strong patient care skills
• Ability to pass Prime exams and facility-required competency checks
• Ability to meet health screening requirements (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB test, Hep B, influenza vaccine, Tdap, varicella, drug screen, fit test, etc.)
• Willingness to work overnight 12-hour shifts Wednesday through Saturday

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (Associate degree or certificate preferred)
• CT-specific training or certification (ARRT-CT or equivalent preferred/eligible)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Proficiency in patient positioning and image acquisition techniques
• Radiation safety principles and best practices
• Comfortable with IV/contrast procedures as applicable to role
• Clear patient communication and compassionate bedside manner
• Basic troubleshooting skills for imaging equipment and PACS workflow
• Accurate electronic documentation and adherence to facility policies
