Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners safely and accurately to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Use EPIC to document procedures, coordinate patient care, and communicate findings with the care team
• Provide compassionate patient positioning, preparation, and education to ensure comfort and compliance
• Respond to on-call overnight and weekend needs promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to maintain workflow and image quality
• Complete required competency exams and checklists (Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist) to maintain standards

Qualifications

• BLS certification (required)
• Demonstrated EPIC experience (required)
• DCI/BVP certification listed as required credential
• Prior CT technologist experience preferred; traveler experience a plus
• Comfortable with on-call responsibilities overnight and on weekends (2–3 times/week as outlined)
• Willingness and ability to work graveyard/overnight shifts when scheduled
• Must be able to complete required health screenings and immunizations (drug screen, TB testing/PPD, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Varicella, influenza, fit test)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT imaging protocols and patient positioning
• Familiarity with EPIC for documentation and order management
• Strong patient communication and care skills, especially for acute and outpatient settings
• Ability to function independently during overnight/on-call shifts
• Comfort with competency testing workflows (Prime Core Competencies and Skills Checklist)
• Attention to infection control, safety, and radiation dose optimization
