Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide consultative and therapeutic services to restore function and prevent disability for patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary disorders
• Assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with hospital policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless transitions of care
• Adhere to state and federal regulatory, licensing, and accrediting requirements in all clinical practices
• Participate in required competency testing and specialty exams to maintain clinical excellence
• Educate patients and families on home programs, mobility, safety, and prevention strategies

Qualifications

• Current California Physical Therapy license (required)
• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (required)
• Current BCLS (AHA) / BLS certification upon hire and maintained
• DCI/BVP certification listed as a required/recognized credential
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred
• Ability to pass background checks, a minimum 10-panel drug screen, fit test, and required immunizations/documentation (COVID-19, MMR, TB, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap)

Education

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (or Certificate in Physical Therapy where applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong consultative and therapeutic intervention skills
• Rehabilitation techniques for musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary conditions
• Familiarity with acute care workflows and interdisciplinary communication
• Regulatory compliance and documentation standards for hospital settings
• Ability to complete Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and specialty exams
