Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide consultative and therapeutic services to restore function and prevent disability for patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary disorders
- Assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with hospital policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless transitions of care
- Adhere to state and federal regulatory, licensing, and accrediting requirements in all clinical practices
- Participate in required competency testing and specialty exams to maintain clinical excellence
- Educate patients and families on home programs, mobility, safety, and prevention strategies
Qualifications
- Current California Physical Therapy license (required)
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (required)
- Current BCLS (AHA) / BLS certification upon hire and maintained
- DCI/BVP certification listed as a required/recognized credential
- Previous acute care hospital experience preferred
- Ability to pass background checks, a minimum 10-panel drug screen, fit test, and required immunizations/documentation (COVID-19, MMR, TB, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap)
Education
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (or Certificate in Physical Therapy where applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong consultative and therapeutic intervention skills
- Rehabilitation techniques for musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary conditions
- Familiarity with acute care workflows and interdisciplinary communication
- Regulatory compliance and documentation standards for hospital settings
- Ability to complete Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and specialty exams
