Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality critical care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate
- Provide direct patient care in the ICU and maintain accountability for assigned patients
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and communicate patient changes to physicians
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and responses to treatment
- Guide and educate patients and families, promoting understanding and participation in care
- Direct and support other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care
- Maintain strict patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (Nursys verification listed)
- Critical care / ICU experience (traveler role focused on critical care)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- DCI/BVP certification as listed in the posting
- Demonstrated skills in hemodynamic monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Completion of required screenings and competency checks (drug screen, immunizations, Prime exams)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and critical care decision-making
- Care planning, implementation and evaluation in the ICU setting
- Hemodynamic monitoring and recognition of abnormal findings
- Rhythm interpretation and basic pharmacology knowledge
- Clear, timely communication with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Patient and family teaching with compassion and clarity
- Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality
