Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify communication and swallowing needs
• Develop personalized treatment plans and measurable goals to drive meaningful patient progress
• Deliver high-quality therapy using evidence-based approaches for a variety of diagnoses
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Document clinical findings, progress, and recommendations accurately and timely
• Provide education and training to caregivers and staff to support carryover of skills

Qualifications

• Active California license as a Speech Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain one
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent graduate degree
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred but not required if state-licensed
• Experience in post-acute or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Current basic life support certification and up-to-date immunizations and background checks as required by facility

Education

• Master of Science or Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment of expressive and receptive language disorders
• Experience with dysphagia screening and management principles
• Strong clinical documentation and goal-writing skills
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary rehab team
• Comfortable training caregivers and providing clear discharge recommendations
• Good time management and caseload prioritization skills
